variable skies... (am.18.jun.12)>

There are some patches of mainly mid-level clouds around the area at sunrise this morning.  There has been no rainfall overnight, and I've recorded a low temp of 75.8F (24.3C) -- the fifth night in a row we have failed to drop below 75F (24C).

A weak upper-level circulation, containing some slightly cooler air aloft, is located just to our west this morning.  It is responsible for generating the scattered cloudiness across northern Pakistan and northwest India, and could also provide the instability necessary to trigger a thundershower or two later today, tonight, and into Tuesday.  It's unlikely that we'll get any significant rainfall, but considering how dry it's been for the past six weeks, we'll take anything we can get!  Apart from this weak system, the general pattern should remain fairly stagnant through the coming week, keeping us in line for some sun, occasional clouds, and the off-chance of a passing thundershower.

Our air mass is still very warm -- so as long as we can get several hours of strong June sunshine on a given day, temperatures should have no problems reaching close to 90F, with overnight temps failing to cool off very much.  Still waiting for the transition into more humid pre-monsoon conditions...
