summer style... (am.10.jun.12)>

A warm and sunny Sunday morning is underway.  I recorded an overnight low temp of 70.0F (21.1C), and there has been no rainfall.

The main weather trend during the coming several days will be towards increasing warmth.  The colder air aloft which has been hanging around since the middle of last week continues to retreat, allowing a warm bubble of high pressure to form in the mid- and upper-levels of the atmosphere.  There may yet be a pocket or two of lingering cold air above the mountains... and that, in combination with strong surface heating today, could stir up some afternoon thundershower development.  Factor that into your plans if you're going to be hiking, trekking or camping out.  It still looks like even the PM thunder potential will settle down as the week goes on, however.

Yesterday's high of 83.8F (28.8C) was a robust start to this latest warming trend, and it looks like we'll be heading a few degrees higher day-by-day this week.  Overnight low temps will be warming as well.  Could this be our final surge of heat before our pre-monsoon rain chances begin increasing??
