We have full sunshine on this Friday morning, apart from some light haze. I've recorded an overnight low of 75.4F (24.1C), and there has been no rainfall. In fact, it has now been exactly one week since the last bit of measurable rain (0.10"/3mm).
Today is day #4 of this latest stretch of very warm weather, and it looks like we have at least a few more to come. General high pressure dominates the weather pattern across northern India, with a bubble of very warm air sprawled from eastern Pakistan across Punjab, and then southeastward through Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Temperatures aren't quite as hot as they were during the heatwave at the very end of May and first few days of June, but they're getting close. There could be a few 45C (113F) temps across that belt over the weekend. Up here, we'll be very close to the hottest temperatures of the entire season as well.
Apart from a random, isolated thundershower way up in the mountains, rain chances are quite small until perhaps the middle of next week. Hazy sunshine should continue to rule, with a few afternoon clouds mainly over the mountains. Tropical moisture could nudge northward by Tuesday and Wednesday, which would add increasing humidity on top of these very warm temps...
