steady warmth... (am.04.jun.12)>

Our skies are mostly sunny early on this Monday morning.  There has been no rainfall overnight, and I recorded a low temperature of 72.5F (22.5C).

The severe heatwave conditions that dominated northern India late last week have broken, but it's still plenty warm enough, with no evidence that things are going to be cooling down to the below normal category for this time of year.  We have seen some pockets of cooler air in the upper-atmosphere that have caused a bit of instability, leading to widely scattered light thundershowers during the afternoon/early evening hours.  Although sunshine should remain plentiful for most of this week, be advised that a sudden thundershower could pop up, producing very gusty winds, but probably not much in the way of significant rainfall.  We may see something a little more substantial by the latter part of the week, but healthy rains aren't likely.

I'm not expected another streak of temperatures in the 90F+ range, but we should remain generally in the upper half of the 80s(F) for the foreseeable future.
