There are lots of high clouds around the area at sunrise on this Tuesday morning. It remains mild... with an overnight low temp of just 60.3F (15.7C). There was a light shower in my part of town last night between 6:30 and 7:00pm, but again, not enough rain to measure. With humidity remaining so low (now 28%) it has been really hard to squeeze out any appreciable moisture.
Despite the lack of rainfall, we're still in the midst of a series of upper-level disturbances, which will continue tracking through northern India for the next 24 hours or so. These disturbances are characterized by pools of colder air aloft and a bit of circulation/rotation in the atmosphere. Under normal circumstances, we'd be getting a few waves of showers and thunderstorms... but our air mass remains extremely dry, and this time, it doesn't look like we've been able to tap into the juicier air to the south. April IS the second-driest month of the year around here... so maybe we're getting a head start. Still... be aware that there could yet be a period of showers and perhaps some thunder until these disturbances clear out on Wednesday.
The other thing going on is that there doesn't seem to be much of an intrusion of cooler air... which means that we'll be warming up again rather quickly during the latter half of the week. Currently, the weekend is looking dry, with temperatures creeping a bit above normal for the March/April transition...
