It is partly cloudy and very pleasant this evening, although there are a few showers lurking just to our northeast in the mountains. We had cloudy skies, gusty winds, and a few sprinkles before 10:30-11:00am, but the rest of the day has been quiet. I recorded a high temp of 69.1F (20.6C) during the mid-afternoon. Rainfall has amounted only to a trace.
So far, our latest series of upper-level disturbances is failing to deliver any significant rainfall here in the immediate Mcleod area. Moisture in all levels of the atmosphere appears to be below the threshold we need to really get some good showers and storms going at our elevation. The one computer model that has consistently been forecasting measurable rainfall continues to do so for the period ending tomorrow morning, so we may yet get a wave of thundershowers overnight.
Moderate instability will persist Tuesday into Wednesday, but based on what has happened during the past 24 hours, I just don't think this air mass is capable of manufacturing much precipitation of any consequence. Our location right on the edge of the Dhauladars is famous (or infamous?) for crazy, sudden shifts... so it would be wise to remain aware and alert... until thing stabilize again by Thursday.
I'm not seeing much cooling at all as this system passes by, so expect temperatures to remain fairly comfortable, with a fairly aggressive warm-up expected again by the end of the week...
