pleasantness... (pm.24.mar.12)>

We have a high, thin layer of cirrus clouds dimming the sunset this evening, after a day  that has been dominated by sunshine.  I recorded a high temp of 73.8F(23.2C) at around 3pm, which was just a hair shy of the season high of 74F (23.3C) which occurred both on Sunday and Monday of this past week.  Humidity has been hanging close to 30% all day.

We're going to start shifting gears in the coming 24-36 hours, as the atmosphere becomes more unstable.  A series of upper-level disturbances will increase our cloud cover, and bring us a gradually better and better chance of a few showers and thunderstorms.  Those dastardly computer models are all coming up with different solutions... but I would say we have a 50-60% chance of a couple of rounds of showers and storms between tomorrow evening and Wednesday.  We'll have to watch carefully how things develop, to see if we can get excited about more than just a little bit of much-needed moisture.

Tomorrow could be another warm day, depending on the battle between clouds and sun... but temps will definitely be cooling off a few degrees thereafter, although not dramatically.  In fact, there are indications that our overall pattern has finally made a permanent transition to springtime...
