rain avoids us... (pm.27.mar.12)>

We're in the midst of another comfortable evening... with partly cloudy skies and mild temps.  Despite the dominance of mid- and high clouds today, we still managed to eek out a high of 68.9F (20.5C), as the humidity hovered in the 30-35% range.  I personally witnessed only a couple of sprinkles of rain at about 2pm... but again... not enough to measure.

This has been one of the most lackluster series of upper-level disturbances I can remember... unable to produce more than occasional clouds, some gusty winds at times, and random sprinkles and brief very light showers.  It has kept us on edge since Sunday night, but thus far, there has been very little happening.  We still have to get through tonight and Wednesday before the atmosphere returns to a more stable condition... so just for fun, we'll keep the risk of a random shower or thundershower in the forecast and see what happens...

A massive ridge of high pressure will rapidly build across India and Pakistan starting on Thursday, which should cause temps to warm throughout the atmosphere and provide generally sunny skies.  It looks like a really nice stretch of weather during the latter part of the week, with temperatures expected to rise above normal for April's arrival...
