It's a gorgeous, mild, sunny evening... as sunset approaches. We had more of those high, thin cirrus clouds (along with some haze) for much of the day which dimmed the sunshine, but still, we managed to match yesterday's high temperature exactly. I recorded 74.1F (23.4C) during the mid-afternoon. That's about 5F (3C) above normal for the third week of March.
After this spell of quiet and warm weather, we've got another change on the way. An upper-level disturbance has been developing/organizing to our northwest today, and will sweep across northern India tomorrow. So far, the only thunderstorm activity noted on satellite photos is occurring over northern Pakistan, but as increasing dynamic energy approaches overnight into Tuesday, we'll see a better chance of some of those thunderstorms either moving in, or developing on top of us. Computer models are keeping most of the real action further north... but that was the case this time last week as well, and we ended up getting blasted. Just be on alert for the potential for a sudden turn of events during the coming 12-24 hours.

We should remain well above the chilly temps of early last week, but we've been spoiled by the warmth of the last couple of days, so it's going to feel noticeably cooler. That won't last for long, though, with another warming trend expected for the end of the week...
