On the gloomy side early this morning... we have mostly cloudy skies at sunrise. There may have been a few sprinkles overnight, along with the very strong wind gusts during the wee hours... but I don't have any measurable rain to report. My low temp has been a cool 46.4F (8.0C).
We're still dealing with a rather moody atmosphere, with weak upper-level disturbances and pockets of very cold air up around 15-25,000ft. With Holi festivities, and the teaching at Tsuglakhang this morning, lots of people are rather weather sensitive... but I'm afraid we still have at least a mentionable risk of a shower or thundershower, along with a battle between sun and clouds today.
There is no sharp turn toward unlimited sunshine and warmth in our near future... in fact, I'm still concerned about a passing thundershower at any point over the weekend. For now, I'll err on the side of optimism, but don't be too shocked if we get side-swiped by something, in the midst of the generally sunny skies on Friday through Sunday. Temperatures will be several degrees below normal for the next several days... with some moderation by early next week...
