wednesday evening>

pea soup fog envelopes mcleod ganj early this evening... but all we've had for rainfall so far today is about 0.05" (1mm) which came between 100 and 200pm. with a few minutes of dim sunshine, the high temp today only made it up to 20C/68F.

once again, we're on pins and needles, waiting for the next burst of rain. skies this evening are pregnant with moisture, as little ripples in the upper atmosphere pass by. any one of these ripples could be the one that ignites the next round of rain (and thunder). it is guaranteed that we'll have heavy rain between now and friday... but the exact timing is pretty much impossible to pin down... just be ready!! roads are already in terrible shape, so any additional rainfall will only worsen matters. our tropical moisture will retreat a bit from saturday into monday... and that means perhaps a break from the thick fog, along with a bit more sun, and less rain. the calendar says just 2 weeks left of the "official" monsoon season. stay tuned...
