monday evening>

we have fog, clouds and occasional glimpses of sunshine this evening. although we have had some drizzle, sprinkles and very light showers off and on since late this morning... only a tenth of an inch (2mm) has been recorded both near the main temple and in upper mcleod ganj. the high temp at the wxgeek office was 21C/70.5F.

our daily average rainfall has definitely decreased in the past couple of weeks... from about 1.7" (4.3cm) per day during the third week of august, to just 0.80" (2cm) during the past week. but... it's quite obvious that our monsoon is still in force, due to the nearly saturated conditions (meaning, near 100% humidity) and periods of thick fog. it does appear that our rainfall will be rather sparse the next several days, but there is not much indication of a significant drop in humidity. scattered showers will still be around, and a few of them could produce brief periods of moderate to heavy rain, but don't expect any long periods of steady rain. i'm still expecting more sunshine to appear as we approach the latter part of the week... which will boost temps a bit.
