thursday morning>

very thick fog early this morning... otherwise we have mostly cloudy skies and 18C/64F in upper mcleod ganj. there were a few sprinkles overnight, but no additional measurable rainfall.

the satellite pics this morning show a very active pattern across northern india. miraculously, we've managed to avoid the rain and thunderstorm activity for the most part... but that will change soon. deep tropical moisture is being forced up against the mountains, and in combination with some pools of cold air aloft, periods of rain and thunderstorms will be likely through tomorrow night. be on the lookout for sudden, intense heavy downpours that could deliver 2-3" (5-8cm) of rain in a short time. but hold on... it appears that we may see less humidty, less fog, less rain potential and a bit more sun over the weekend into early next week.
