thursday evening>

lots of clouds... lots of fog... and some scattered showers around the area this evening. rainfall has been generally light, with 0.25" (6mm) reported near the main temple, and 0.10" (2mm) in upper mcleod ganj. today's high temperature was 21C/70F.

it is kind of a mystery that we haven't been able to get these pregnant skies to dump much rain on us yet. there have been heavy rains to our south, east and west the last 24 hours, but we can't seem to get in on the action. right now, there are very heavy rains and thunderstorms developing across punjab, haryana and uttar anchal, but nothing of major consequence in himachal pradesh. all i can say is that conditions are STILL favorable for heavy rains, and will remain so through the night into tomorrow... but my confidence is starting to run a bit low at this point! there are some subtle changes evident over the weekend... humidity levels will drop a bit, peeks of sunshine will lengthen, and fog may be less persistent. occasional showers will continue to threaten... any of which could produce heavy rain.

THURSDAY NIGHT: cloudy and foggy with a good chance of rain and possible thunderstorms off and on overnight.
low: 18C (64F)

FRIDAY: mostly cloudy and foggy. still a very good chance of periods of rain (and thunder).
high: 21C (69F)

SATURDAY: some peeks of sunshine, but still plenty of clouds and occasional fog. scattered showers in the area...
high: 22C (71F)

SUNDAY: partly sunny skies. a few patches of fog. warmer... but still a risk of a shower or two.
high: 23C (73F)

MONDAY: a mix of clouds and fog and sun... a few random showers possible.
high: 23C (73F)

TUESDAY: partly to mostly cloudy and foggy. good chance of showers and thundershowers.
high: 22C (72F)
