another day of endless variety... we had a good round of thundershowers this morning which dumped 0.52" (1.3cm) of rain in upper mcleod ganj, 0.59" (1.5cm) in naddi village, and 0.60" (1.5cm) near the main temple. then we've had thick fog alternating with blasts of sunshine from the mid-day into the evening hours. despite the little bit of sun, it's been a very cool day, with the high temp at the weathergeek office only reaching 18C/64.5F.
two out of three of our available computer models are forecasting dry weather from now, all the way through saturday. the third model is holding onto the tropical moisture, and giving us decent rain chances each and every day through the weekend. i think we can at least expect a reduction in the humidity and an increase in sunshine potential as we head into the latter part of the week. the waning week or two of the monsoon season is very tricky... as the tropical moisture surges and retreats periodically, before being pushed out altogether. tomorrow is KEY... if the moisture and fog retreat, then it bodes well for 2-3 days of dry, fall-ish weather. if tomorrow is still foggy and murky, then it means that we may be stuck with monsoon conditions for yet another week or more...
