thursday morning>

cool and mostly cloudy early this morning, with a temp of 16C/61F. we've had a moderate amount of rain in the 12 hours between 6pm and 6am. i've recorded 0.68" (1.7cm) here in upper mcleod ganj... with 1.05" (2.7cm) near the main temple. thundershowers were rumbling around til around 530am... but have stopped for now.

no dramatic changes in the weather pattern are expected right through the next 3-5 days. although the humidity levels have dropped a bit from the 100% saturation of days and weeks past, there is still plenty of juicy monsoon moisture available to fuel scattered showers and thundershowers. however, we will continue to see occasional peeks of sunshine, and less hours of thick fog. although 15 september (typical "end of monsoon") is fast approaching, i'm still not seeing evidence of the surge of dry, crisp air from the northwest that chases the tropical moisture away for good. stay tuned!
