it was great to see tons o' sun this morning... but the clouds and fog were on the increase in the afternoon. now, just prior to sunset, the clouds and fog are attempting to disperse. there were a few random sprinkles during the late afternoon, but not enough to measure. today's high temp was 21.2C/70F.
satellite pics this evening show clouds and a few showers along the front ranges of the himalayas, but otherwise, skies are generally clear across most of the northwest half of india. what a difference a few days makes! the deep monsoon moisture has been pushed all the way down to central uttar pradesh, and is likely NOT to return this far north and westward this year. for us, that means we should continue to enjoy incremental improvements to our weather, day by day. although mountain terrain is fickle, sometimes producing afternoon showers with little advance notice, there are no "organized" rain-makers expected during the next several days... the clouds and fog will continue to thin out, and humidity will edge lower and lower. temperatures will stay pretty close to where they are... coolish in the early mornings, but pleasantly mild during the mid-day hours.
