sunday evening (12sep)>

talk about GLOOM... today has been 95% clouds and fog, with only a couple of very fleeting and weak glimpses of sunshine.  rainfall has been very sparse as well, with just a few brief showers during the early afternoon.  thanks to the clouds and fog, our high temp in upper mcleod ganj only reached 19.5C/67F.

i'm perplexed about our lack of significant rainfall the last 2-3 days...  there have been some heavy dumpings to our west, south and east, but we've managed to miss out.  of course it is only a matter of time until we get our share.  but that "share" will most likely need to happen between now and late tuesday... since a surge of drier and more stable air is still expected to move in by the middle of the week.  it remains to be seen whether or not this will end up being the official END of the monsoon season, since (according to the india meteorological department) there are a number of criteria to be met, but we'll definitely be on our way.  at the very least, humidity levels will dramatically decrease by thursday and friday... after many weeks in the 80-100% range...

SUNDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy and foggy, with a few showers or thundershowers overnight.
low: 16C (61F)

MONDAY: a mix of clouds, fog and some sunshine.  still a good chance of a period or two of showers and thundershowers.
high: 21C (70F)

TUESDAY: partly to mostly cloudy with occasional fog.  scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the PM.
high: 22C (72F)

WEDNESDAY: partly sunny skies with an isolated afternoon or evening thundershower possible.
high: 23C (73F)

THURSDAY: a good amount of sun... lower humidity.  still some PM clouds with a random thundershower possible.
high: 23C (74F)

FRIDAY: partly sunny and nice.  just a slight chance of a late day thundershower.
high: 23C (74F)
