monday morning (20sep)>

it's cloudy with some sprinkles around the area early this morning, with a temp of 16C/60F.  i've recorded 0.12" (3mm) of rain since about 3am here in upper mcleod ganj... making a total of 0.18" (5mm) during the past 24 hours.  our observers near the main temple recorded 0.10" (3mm) overnight.

it seems that rain tends to coincide with mondays... this time last week we were in the middle of our 6"+ dumping.  i don't think we'll see anywhere near that much today, but if the satellite pics are telling the truth, we'll be in and out of the rain, with very little chance of seeing much sunshine.  in fact, most of this week is looking on the wet side... with the remnants of thick and juicy monsoon moisture expected to be camped out over northern india.  occasional disturbances will drift through in the tropical easterly flow, stirring up several waves of rain and possibly some thundershowers.  we should get a few peeks of sunshine from time to time, but all in all, it looks like a fairly gloomy week ahead...
