it's a super bright and sunny saturday morning... not a cloud in the sky. the pre-sunrise low temp was a comfortable 66.6F (19.2C)
the view from space currently shows absolutely clear skies over a wide area from the persian gulf across afghanistan and pakistan, into the northern half of india. this is thanks to a strengthening area of high pressure in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere, which will be the dominant weather feature in our part of the world for the next several days. there will be no organized storm systems moving through... but we'll still have to watch for those afternoon/evening thundershowers to develop in a widely scattered fashion over the mountains. one or two of those could occasionally drift into our neighborhood, but expect sunshine to prevail for most of the daylight hours... right into the middle of next week.
i mentioned last evening that the computer models are advertising an aggressive warming trend.. the problem is.. they did the same thing last week, and it never really materialized. it DOES look like we have a very good chance of returning into the "normal" temperature range for early june, but i am going to go conservative for another day or so until we can see if the warm-up is truly for real!
