it's cloudy and foggy at dawn, with some light showers and a few of rumbles of thunder. my outdoor humidity reading is currently 91%, which is the highest i have seen this season. the early morning low temp has been 68.9F (20.5C), with just a trace of rainfall as of 6:20am.
despite all the rain we've had this month (8.77"/22.3cm), it's only during the past 24 hours that we are experiencing genuine monsoon conditions. as i mentioned last evening, we'll have to see if the deep tropical moisture will stick around, or if it will be pushed back to the southeast... and we'll also have to see if the IMD is paying much attention to us here on the front slopes of the mountains in himachal pradesh.! at any rate, this is the saturated airmass we've been waiting for.
at both the beginning and the end of monsoon season, there are always some "surges and retreats" of the deep, rich tropical moisture, so we may have a few peeks of sunshine here and there... but with so much moisture around, clouds and patchy fog will never be too far away. that means our temperatures will most likely be trending cooler than they were earlier this week...
FRIDAY: partly to mostly cloudy and very humid. foggy at times, with occasional periods of rain and thunder.
high: 24C (75F)
FRIDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy and foggy with some showers around.
low: 21C (69F)
SATURDAY: clouds, fog, and a peek or two of sun. good chance of occasional rain and thunder.
high: 23C (74F)
SUNDAY: mostly cloudy and foggy with occasional rain.
