steadily warming... (am.25.apr.11)>

skies are crystal clear again at dawn this morning... with a very mild temp of 66.6F (19.2C).  even the early morning and evening chill is being chased away now.

our temperatures have been steadily rising since wednesday of last week, and should continue to climb during much of this week.  we have a big summer-time ridge of high pressure to thank for the long-awaited moderation in temps... and it will further build and strengthen across all of india between now and friday.  we'll still see plenty of sunshine this week, but by wednesday, there are going to be a couple of weak "wiggles" and pockets of colder air aloft drifting through, which could increase our chances of a random afternoon thundershower or two.  nothing dramatic, but just keep that in mind if you plan to be up in the mountains.

i think it is also just about time to expect the hazy skies to develop.  even yesterday i noticed that the visibility down towards gaggal and kangra was reduced... and due to the heat and lack of any organized areas of rain, the trapped dust and pollution will only increase.
