dodging showers... (pm.10.apr.11)>

skies are mostly cloudy early this evening, after a high temp of only 66.5F (19.2C), and about 0.05" (1mm) of rain.  we had a few showers early this morning, and then a more substantial period of showers during the mid-afternoon hours, but still, nothing particularly significant... yet.

a potent upper-level disturbance is moving into northern pakistan at the moment, and will be gradually shifting eastward across northern india during the next 2-3 days.  there are a few separate "waves" of energy with this system, and each will be capable of stirring up a round of showers and possible thunderstorms between now and tuesday.  i still see evidence of the potential for some moderate rainfall (greater than 1cm/0.40") by the time it all winds down.  the clouds and occasional showers will keep temperatures on the cool side for april, which i think we've become quite used to by now.

i'm not super optimistic about a definitive clearing trend during the latter part of the week, but i think rain chances will diminish back down to the 20% (or less) range for thursday and friday.  one thing does look likely... we should see a fairly steady warming trend by then...

SUNDAY NIGHT: partly to mostly cloudy, with a good chance of a period or two of showers.  a thunderstorm possible as well.
low: 14C (57F)

MONDAY: mostly cloudy skies, with a couple of showers and/or thunderstorms likely.  unseasonably cool.
high: 19C (67F)

TUESDAY: clouds, a bit of sun... still a good chance of a few showers or storms around.
high: 19C (67F)

WEDNESDAY: partly cloudy and warming up.  just a slight chance of a shower or thundershower.
high: 22C (71F)

THURSDAY: partly cloudy and pleasantly warm.
high: 23C (73F)

FRIDAY: a mix of clouds and sunshine... warming trend continues.
high: 23C (74F)
