there are still a few scattered light showers around the area just before sunset this evening, with mostly cloudy skies. our off and on showers/thundershowers today yielded another 0.10" (2.5mm) in my rain gauge... bringing the total rainfall since sunday up to 0.80" (2cm). based on reports i've received from near the main temple and naddi, these totals seem to be fairly consistent. it was a bit milder today than yesterday, thanks to the mid-day sunshine. i recorded a high temp of 67.6F (19.8C).
we should be in for an improving weather scenario during the coming 24 hours... which will last until the weekend. this strong and persistent upper-level disturbance will shift east of us and weaken, as high pressure builds (at least temporarily) in the upper atmosphere. this will lead to more stable conditions, along with a rather dramatic warming trend... temperatures should rapidly warm back into the comfort zone during the next couple of days.
i don't think we are heading for a long-term stretch of nice weather, though... as another upper-level disturbance looks on schedule to arrive friday night or saturday. you know what that means> increasing chances of rain again, along with a return to slightly cooler temps.
TUESDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy early, with a few thundershowers. becoming partly cloudy overnight.

WEDNESDAY: partly cloudy skies. warmer, with only a slight chance of a brief thundershower.

THURSDAY: partly to mostly sunny and pleasantly warm.

FRIDAY: mostly sunny in the morning, but increasing clouds during the afternoon. nice and warm.
high: 24C (75F)
SATURDAY: partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a good chance of a few showers and storms.

SUNDAY: a mix of clouds and sun... a chance of a couple of showers and thundershowers. not as warm.
