quite stunning... (am.14.apr.11)>

it is a stunning early morning... clear skies with a temp of 57.7F (14.3C).  get ready for lots of sunshine and a nice warm-up during the morning hours.

i think everyone is very happy to have a break in the action... and it should last for another couple of days.  we are in between weather systems, with a weak area of high pressure in place which will allow for plenty of sun, only a slight chance of PM shower action, and seasonably warm temperatures.  as we saw yesterday, the cumulus clouds may still go wild during the mid- and late afternoon, leading to some rumbling thunder and perhaps a stray shower over the mountains... but i don't expect any significant rain in mcleod.

starting on friday evening (just in time for the weekend), the next upper-level disturbance will move our way.  with each successive computer model run, this system is looking stronger and stronger... so get ready for another few days of dodging occasional showers and thunderstorms, a reduction in sunshine, along with a drop in temperatures.  hard to believe we still can't pack away the fleeces and jackets this year!
