we're waking up to cloudy skies, some light rain, and a mild temp of 59.5F (15.3C) on this sunday morning. so far there is nothing measurable in the rain gauge... but that will likely change during the coming 12-24 hours.
saturday's high temp was 73.1F (22.8C), thanks to some nice sunshine during the morning and early afternoon hours... but the clouds really thickened up during the afternoon, which led to some gusty winds and a few sprinkles during the evening. i don't think we'll be repeating the pleasant warmth of yesterday, as satellite photos indicate all kinds of clouds in our vicinity, and westward. a complex upper-level disturbance is to blame for this... and it will be affecting our weather all the way until the middle of the coming week.
expect a good chance of occasional showers and possibly even a thunderstorm or two today and monday... with scattered showers possible into tuesday as well. as i've been mentioning the last couple of days, this system has more moisture at its disposal than we've seen recently, so some significant rainfall amounts are quite possible (>1cm) before all is said and done.
it will be cooler through tuesday, thanks to the clouds and showers... but expect a nice warm-up during the latter half of the week, as this storm system makes its exit...
SUNDAY: clouds, along with some peeks of sun. good chance of a few periods of showers and/or thundershowers.
high: 21C (69F)
SUNDAY NIGHT: partly to mostly cloudy with some showers and thunderstorms likely.
low: 14C (57F)
MONDAY: mostly cloudy and cool, with occasional showers and storms likely.
high: 19C (67F)
TUESDAY: partly to mostly cloudy... still a good chance of a thundershower or two.
high: 20C (68F)
WEDNESDAY: partly cloudy and warming up. just a slight chance of a PM thundershower.
high: 22C (71F)
THURSDAY: a good amount of sunshine. pleasantly warm.
high:: 23C (73F)
