there is not a single cloud to be found in our pre-dawn skies... but there is quite a bit of haze, with rather low visibilities. i'm looking at an early morning temp of 66.4F (19.1C) here at the top of mcleod ganj.
our sunny skies are under double-attack. on one side, the instability is increasing over the mountains recently, which will cause a build-up of mountain clouds and perhaps even an isolated thundershower. on the other side, full-on summer heat has become established down on the northern plains of india... and the air is becoming stagnant, trapping all kinds of dust and pollution. so.. despite the lack of any organized storm systems, the afternoon mountain clouds and the dusty haze drifting up from the plains have (as of yesterday) begun to limit our percentage of sunshine.
there will be little change in the overall weather pattern for the remainder of the week... so temperatures will remain warm (call it HOT in dharamsala and below). however, that mountain instability that i mentioned will give us at least a small risk of an afternoon thundershower... though any rainfall that does occur will be very light.
WEDNESDAY: hazy sunshine this morning. some clouds developing this afternoon, with a slight chance of a brief thundershower.
high: 28C (83F)
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: some evening clouds giving way to clear skies.
low: 20C (68F)
THURSDAY: partly cloudy, hazy and warm. risk of a PM thundershower.
high: 28C (83F)
FRIDAY: a mix of sun, clouds and haze. still warm, with a PM thundershower possible.
high: 29C (84F)
SATURDAY: partly sunny and hazy again.
high: 29C (84F)
SUNDAY: more of the same... warm, partly sunny and hazy.
high: 29C (85F)
