i'm recording my warmest early morning temperature of the year... 68.9F (20.5C), with clear skies, some light haze, and a pleasant breeze just before sunrise.
we'll start off with lots of sunshine again this morning, as has been the case for the past 10 days in a row... but expect the clouds to build up over the mountains again towards the noon hour. the mountain instability factor (pockets of colder air above increasingly warm air at the surface) will keep the mention of an afternoon thundershower in the forecast today, and for the next several days, actually. this is fairly typical for this time of year... random thundershowers can occur over the mountains, occasionally drifting down into our neighborhood on just about any given afternoon. not a dramatic issue, as long as you're aware of it and ready to run for cover if necessary.
yesterday was the warmest day of the year... and it looks like we could add another couple of degrees in the coming few days. there are indications that the warming trend of the past week and a half will continue steadily into the middle of next week...
