light rain is falling this evening, with gusty winds and a chilly temp of 45F (7.2C). thanks to 90% cloudy skies today, our high temp only made it up to 52.2F (11.2C)... and the rain gauge shows about 3mm (0.12") of precipitation thus far.
a broad area of upper-level low pressure remains anchored just to our west, and will continue to be the dominant influence during the next 4-5 days or so. right now, a fairly potent little bundle of energy is being ejected across northern india... and that's what's responsible for the ominous-looking clouds and the light rainfall today. get used to this, because we should see several waves of energy moving through, right into early next week, which will keep us from escaping the clouds and precipitation for very long. most of the computer model info says that the heaviest rain and snow will stay to our north... but i think measurable rain is likely around here as well.
temperatures have little chance of warming up very much as long as this pattern holds... and the higher elevations have little chance of missing out on more heavy snowfall, to add to the record-breaking snowpack already in place...
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy with a few periods of showers and possible thundershowers.
low: 6C (42F)
THURSDAY: clouds, with a few peeks of sun possible. good chance of a few showers and thundershowers. still quite cool...
high: 10C (50F)
FRIDAY: mostly cloudy with more rain showers likely...

SATURDAY: partly to mostly cloudy with some scattered showers still possible.
