getting blasted...

4:10pm... 2.64" (6.7cm) in the rain gauge.  there is some partial clearing, although thunder and light rain remain in the area.

3:36pm... those breaks in the clouds i was seeing earlier have disappeared, and satellite pics show a narrow area of nearly stationary thundershowers stretching all along the dhauladar range.  this may continue for a while.  temp now 58.6F (14.8C).  rainfall total to come...

3:09pm... haven't ventured out to check my rain gauge yet, since it is still raining moderately... but it looks to me like there may be close to 2" in there!  will report a total when it finally winds down.

2:55pm... marble-sized hail and rain, but some breaks in the clouds, blue sky appearing to the north.

2:42pm... now heavy rain and consistent small hail.  temperature has dropped to 57F (13.9C)... coolest temperature of the season.  wind seems to have calmed a bit for the moment.

2:30pm... a potent thundershower has been gaining strength during the past half hour or so.  in addition to moderate rainfall and thunder and lightning, i am getting some small hail stones at my place just below tushita and the mountaineering center.  it is also very windy at the moment.  temperatures have fallen rapidly, to 60F (15.5C).
