autopilot2... (am.13.sep.11)>

yesterday's high temp: 71.6C (22C)
this morning's low temp: 65.7F (18.7C)
24 hour rainfall as of 6:30am: 0.70" (2.0cm)

the sun is shining early this morning, but it's likely not to last long, as clouds and fog are already starting to develop.  for the last couple of days, it has looked like we might actually get a rare dry day, but then as the day in question arrives, computer models have changed their tune, and recognized that there is indeed enough zip left in this late monsoon airmass to squeeze out yet more rain.

as i mentioned last night, there are really no new factors in play... which means the combination of clouds, peeks of sun, fog and downpours of rain we've been accustomed to for weeks, will keep on keepin' on.  there is still enough moisture in the air to get an inch or two of rain in just a few hours, which will keep our september rainfall tally ticking upward...
