an interesting day... we've alternated back and forth between clouds and sun a couple of times, and there was a rather fierce thundershower (at least in the upper part of town) during the noon hour. then, there were some sprinkles while the sun was shining earlier this evening in dharamkot. i recorded a pleasant high temp of 75.1F (23.9C), with just 0.02" (<1mm) of rainfall.
it looks like we are in line for some typical early may weather through this five day forecast period... except for the fact that temperatures are going to be rebounding into the above normal range once again. our upper-air pattern will remain a bit disturbed... frought with minor wiggles and fast-moving pools of cold air aloft. although sunshine will be the major player, the random, isolated afternoon thundershower could occur almost any day, thanks to these disturbances combined with the afternoon build-up of heat. tomorrow may be the only day of the next several that we can escape that phenomenon.
so far we haven't lost our comfortable evenings and early mornings... but keep in mind that climatologically speaking, mid-may to mid-june is the time of year when those warm and stuffy nights are most common. it may not be much longer...
