Skies are mostly cloudy at sunrise, and more thunder is rumbling. We did get another round of thunder and lightning late last night, but my rain gauge is barely moist this morning. So -- after the sound and light shows, it looks like most of us in the McLeod area weren't able to muster much more than a trace of rainfall. My overnight low temp here in the upper part of town has been 65.7F (18.7C), which is a bit cooler than the past few mornings.

Upper-level disturbances are parading across the area now, which will keep the chance of a few showers and thunderstorms in the forecast over the weekend. So far, obviously, moisture has been very limited, but it's likely we'll pick up some measurable rainfall at any time. Temperatures are going to be tricky, as the sun alternates with clouds and the occasional shower, but I think we'll average out a bit below mid-May normals into early next week... after our just-completed five days in a row @ 80F+.
The pattern looks like it will remain a bit fickle into Wednesday, with enough instability to keep the risk of at least an afternoon/evening thundershower in the forecast nearly each day. There will also be some nice stretches of sun in the midst of it all, however...
