Skies are partly cloudy at sunset this evening, with an isolated thundershower or two lurking along some of the peaks of the Dhauladars. Clouds this morning got us off to a slow start with regard to temperatures, but a predominance of sunshine after about 11:00am allowed our high temp to reach 77.4F (25.2C). There has been no rainfall today... although we did have a few claps of thunder coming from the mountains during the early afternoon.
Easter Sunday should be another quiet day, although there still could be some random mountain thunder. We'll enjoy the benefits of this weak high pressure ridge for another 24-36 hours, before the next weather-maker enters the picture. Computer models are consistent in forecasting a slow-moving upper-level disturbance to affect northern India for much of next week. Some rotation in the atmosphere, along with considerably colder air aloft will give us a better and better chance of at least scattered shower and thunderstorm action off and on.... starting on Monday.
It also appears that our unseasonably warm weather will remain with us... with temps at least a couple of degrees above normal for this stage of April. Of course we'll get some brief cooling in the midst of thundershowers... but a reversion to below normal temperatures looks unlikely during the coming week...
