we're in the midst of yet another sunny sunrise... those have been common for a couple of weeks now. the overnight low temp was 59.5F (15.3C), and humidity stands at 85%. there was no rainfall overnight, with only 0.01" in my rain gauge from the brief thundershowers late yesterday afternoon.
the computer models continue to overlook the daily development of scattered showers and thundershowers along the front range mountains and foothills in himachal pradesh, and paint a calm and quiet picture for the days ahead. i think it is best to go with a continuing risk of those renegade thundershowers during the afternoons, until we are sure that the atmosphere has been cleansed of this persistent low-level moisture. there is an indication that some relatively warmer air may be moving in aloft in a couple of days, and that could at least stabilize the atmosphere a bit, and diminish the shower potential.
temperatures will be pleasantly warm in the sunshine, but a bit on the cool side when the clouds and showers move in, as we've seen all week.
