a minor shake-up... (am.13.oct.11)>

scattered high clouds are drifting through the area early this morning, with a humidity reading of 68%.  the overnight low has been 61.2F (16.2C).

a rather strong area of low pressure in the upper atmosphere is headed our way, and will sweep through northern india tomorrow into early saturday.  in advance of this system, some mid and high clouds have been flowing northward.  this scenario is going to limit our sunshine for the next couple of days, and also give us at least a mentionable chance of a period or two of showers and thunderstorms... most likely on friday and friday night.  actually, there is very little surface moisture available for this system to take advantage of, so rain chances are only moderate at best at this point.

a burst of very dry air from central asia will flow into the area behind this disturbance over the weekend... which should return us to generally sunny skies as we head into next week.

on another note... although there is still a light dusting of pine pollen floating around, the worst of it appears to be over...
