this just may have been the nicest day we've had for months... in terms of sunshine, low humidity and mild temperatures. apart from a very feeble collection of clouds over the mountains for a few hours between late morning and late afternoon, it has been sunny. the high temp reached 69.1F (20.6C), and humidity has hovered right around 50% for most of the day.
nearly all of the western himalayan region was very close to being cloud-free today... from the satellite perspective, it was the clearest day i've seen during this post-monsoon season. winds throughout all levels of the atmosphere are generally from the west, and that is keeping dry and stable air in control. as we all know, there is always at least a slight chance of an afternoon thundershower developing somewhere in the vicinity of the dhauladars, apart from during the dead of winter... but otherwise, we should continue to see bright autumn sunshine into the middle of the coming week.
by wednesday night and thursday, we will see a slight increase in moisture in advance of the next upper-level weather system, which could bring us a little better chance of some raindrops. the general temperature trend will be downward, but it will still remain quite pleasant for this time of year...
SATURDAY NIGHT: clear and comfortably cool.
low: 14C (58F)
SUNDAY: morning sun yielding to a few afternoon clouds.
high: 21C (69F)
MONDAY: mostly sunny in the morning, with a few PM clouds.
high: 21C (70F)
TUESDAY: sunny to partly cloudy skies.
high: 21C (69F)
WEDNESDAY: partly sunny.
high: 20C (68F)
THURSDAY: partly to mostly cloudy, with an increasing chance of a shower or thundershower.
high: 19C (67F)
