Sunday's stats:
Early morning low temp: 56.7F (13.7C)
Afternoon high temp: 66.7F (19.3C)
Rainfall: none
Have had some trouble posting today, due to dismal internet service. Sorry for that.
We had plenty of sunshine on this Sunday, in spite of the ripples of low pressure aloft which have been passing overhead. There continues to be a general trough of low pressure in the mid- and upper-levels of the atmosphere hanging over the western Himalayas... just to our west. There are a few more disturbances scheduled to track over us between now and Tuesday, giving us at least a slight chance of some isolated showers or thundershowers, but we're getting more and more of a central Asian influence (which is normal for this time of year), which is keeping our air mass quite dry. If we can manage to squeeze out some rainfall, it should be very much on the light side.
Temperatures are right on track for the latter part of October, and it looks like we'll keep cooling off by increments during the next 3-4 days. Our comfort factor will be entirely dependent on sunshine -- it's still easy to get a sunburn from late morning into mid-afternoon in direct sunlight, but it's definitely feeling chilly in the shade.
