Saturday's stats:
Early morning low temp: 57.7 (14.3C)
Afternoon high temp: 66.0F (18.9C)
Rainfall: none
Noticeably cooler air is filtering into northern India, thanks to a broad area of low pressure in the upper atmosphere which will be very slowly drifting through over the course of the next few days. There were more clouds around today than we've seen in a while, but humidity from the surface into the upper-levels is only marginal at best for providing any fuel for shower/thundershower development.
There could be a few waves of instability developing all across the western Himalayas between now and at least Monday, so don't be surprised if we do get a random thundershower at some point. I'm still highly skeptical of getting any significant rainfall, but the whole situation bears watching... especially if you have plans to be venturing up higher into the mountains. Make sure you have wet/cold weather gear, just in case.
Temperatures are finally back very close to where they should be by this stage of October, and are expected to cool off even further during the coming 4-5 days (overnight low temps in particular). In addition, it looks like our average humidity could be dropping into the 30-40% range by the middle of the week.
