cloudy, drizzle, and 14c/57f on this tuesday morning... feels like a late september day! the bulk of the tropical moisture passed just to our east last night, but we've still managed to get some light rain off and on for the last 12 hours or so. that system will continue breaking up as it moves over the mountains, but there will be enough moisture left over today to keep rainshowers in the forecast, along with very cool temps for this time of year. a significant warm-up is on the way starting on wednesday, but it also appears that lingering moisture and some waves of energy in the upper-atmosphere will lead to a decent shot of some afternoon storms right into the weekend. if you're a cool weather lover, enjoy today, and brace yourself for a return to summer heat by the end of the week...
