this morning's rainfall of 1/2" (13mm) was the most we've received at one time since the 5th of may. and it appears that is only the beginning of what we can expect during the next 2-3 days. the forecast is becoming more and more complicated, but the basic scenario is this: a strong disturbance aloft will continue to push into the area, tapping tropical moisture being pulled in from the arabian sea. that means a very good chance of occasional showers and thunderstorms... some of which could produce heavy rain, hail and some very gusty winds. temperatures were quite a bit cooler today, and will be unseasonably cool as we head into the weekend. the first part of next week is a big question mark, but for now will attempt to bring in some drier and slightly warmer air...
