it is definitely a "gift" to get such a beautiful day this late in june. clouds built up over the mountains this afternoon, but failed to produce so much as a rumble of thunder. the high temp at the weathergeek office at the top of mcleod ganj was 28c/82f... with moderate humidity. all computer model guidance continues to gradually increase humidity and rain potential throughout the week... but they've been doing that few a few days now, and the monsoon has still failed to make that awaited northward surge. from here forward, it will just be a day-by-day call. past experience says that the onset of monsoon conditions can be sudden and rather dramatic. in the meantime... expect pleasantly warm temps, increasing mugginess, and occasional thunderstorms erupting mainly during the PM hours. and keep tuned to the weathergeek for breaking meteorological info...
