very interesting weather scenario during the next 36 hours... skies are overcast early on this monday morning, with temperatures around 20c/67f. the mass of tropical moisture we've been talking about the last couple of days is now centered over southwestern rajasthan, and is moving slowly toward the northeast. the satellite pic shows an extensive shield of mid- and high clouds covering virtually all of northwest india. it appears right now that the center of this system will pass just to our southeast, but widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected to accompany it, and we should get in on some of that action later today, through tuesday. we definitely won't be seeing much sunshine before wednesday... and temperatures will be quite cool for this time of year. a return to drier and more seasonably warm weather is expected for the second half of the week...
