the alarm clock went off VERY early on this monday morning... with thunder, wind and rain starting around 415am. the satellite pic shows one lone cluster of thunderstorms over west-central himachal pradesh... that's us! these storms should quickly dissipate this morning, with a return to sunshine and rapidly warming temps. it's been great to have a bit of relief since yesterday afternoon, but this summer airmass is still in place, and that means we'll be experiencing very warm weather through at least wednesday. the good news is that the occasional shower or storm could occur (mainly during the afternoons and evenings) virtually any day of the week.
*MONSOON WATCH** the northern limit of the monsoon is now hung up along a line from extreme southern rajasthan to central bihar and eastern nepal. there will be little movement during the next 3-4 days, but a surge to the north and northwest will occur by the weekend. we could still see an arrival here around the 27th-28th of june. check for updates daily...
