apart from a few sprinkles around 4am, the night was dry and quiet... and our friday is dawning with mostly clear skies. the satellite pic shows a scattering of clouds and thundershowers from central asia, south through kashmir, the punjab, pakistan, and southward into the arabian sea, where there is a strong tropical cyclone off the coast of oman. plenty of instability is available both today and saturday to stir up a few rounds of showers and storms, as these systems converge. in fact the mention of rain will stay in the forecast right through tuesday... when the remains of the tropical cyclone could arrive on our doorstep. temperatures will be on the cool side of normal for the next several days. definitely an active few days of weather coming up...
