Our sky is 100% clear at sunrise this morning, and I'm recording a current temperature of 50.4F (10.2C), which is also the overnight low. There were lingering clouds last evening that produced a few sprinkles of rain until 9:00pm or so -- so we've had a trace of precipitation since last report.
The overall weather pattern continues to undergo a major realignment, which will be very much in our favor as we finish up the week. Sunshine will be plentiful this morning, with temperatures expected to warm up rather dramatically -- putting us into a range that we haven't seen in the past 11-12 days or so. And it looks like we'll be warming further, day by day, probably reaching 70ºF/21ºC either tomorrow (Fri) or Saturday. Temperatures will then start to approach normal/average for mid-April as we move into early next week, which means 73-74ºF/23ºC.
The forecast isn't entirely 'worry-free', however. Although we're seeing a general stabilization of the atmosphere after a very long stretch of unsettled, unstable, wet and unseasonably cool weather, I think there remains a good chance of considerable cloud development over the mountains during the afternoon hours, which could lead to a couple of isolated thundershowers. That could occur virtually any day through this upcoming forecast period. But the main issue is that we continue to move in a positive direction in the grand scheme of things.
I will be away the next few days and unable to post -- probably until late Saturday. So I apologize in advance for the upcoming silence here. Hopefully there won't be any totally unexpected dramas.
