spring showers?... (am.27.mar.11)>

skies are mostly clear before sunrise this morning, with a pleasant temp of 61.7F (16.5C) to kick off the day.

for the past three days, we've had total sunshine in the morning, a quick build-up of clouds over the mountains during the early afternoon, and then some thunder and even a few sprinkles during the mid- to late afternoon.  during the next 3 days, the pattern should change a bit... an upper-level disturbance is approaching from the west, and should provide the necessary energy aloft to produce some shower and thundershower action that will actually survive long enough to move down the mountain and deliver some measurable rain.  still, no all-day, long-lasting, persistent rains are expected... just be aware of a better chance (between late this afternoon and tuesday) of getting wet!

temperatures are expected to stay warm... in fact it will likely warm up another degree or two during the next 2-3 days... keeping us near or slightly above normal for the tail end of march.
