it's 57.2F (14C) as dawn breaks this morning... with clear skies. current satellite pics show an absence of any organized weather systems across the western himalayan region.
enjoy the next couple of days, because there are indications that a series of unusually vigorous weather disturbances are on the way, starting this weekend. we should enjoy plenty of sunshine today, apart from the usual build-up of clouds (and subsequent thunder?) over the mountains during the afternoon hours. tomorrow will also be decent, although the chance of thundershowers will rise slightly by late in the day. temperatures will be pretty close to average for the transition from march to april.
on saturday, a deep upper-level disturbance will move into northern pakistan, then move across northern india on sunday into monday. this looks to be a very dynamic system, but it remains to be seen whether it can draw enough moisture in, to produce significant rainfall. at the least, it will bring us some thundershowers, occasionally gusty winds, and probably a sharp drop in temperatures, especially by monday. stay tuned for the latest developments!
