Monday's stats:
Low temp: 65.5F (18.6C)
High temp: 77.5F (25.3C)
Rainfall: trace
There are some patches of blue in the midst of otherwise mostly cloudy skies across the area this evening. We've had a few sprinkles and random brief, light showers since shortly after 5:00pm, but nothing particularly noteworthy has happened today in terms of rainfall. Humidity has held mainly in the 60-70% range, which isn't bad at all for this time of year.
Weather charts and data for the next several days look shockingly uneventful, with no organized and/or widespread areas of heavy rain indicated for most of the western Himalayan region. The best combination of concentrated tropical moisture and upper-level dynamic energy should remain well to our southeast all the way into at least the weekend, keeping us from taking part in anything more than some isolated to widely scattered rain shower action. Computer models can be a bit inept with regard to subtle changes in the atmosphere during the monsoon season, so we'll still have to be on guard and on alert for changes in the situation as the remainder of the week unfolds.
One of the main positive aspects of the monsoon months is the very pleasant temperatures -- and we are certainly enjoying that at the moment. It looks like we could see some slightly warmer temps in the coming few days, but it should remain fairly easy to deal with.
The CURRENT FORECAST page (above) contains all the details for the next five days.
