Saturday's stats:
Early morning low temp: 54.1F (12.3C)
Afternoon high temp: 64.6F (18.1C)
Rainfall: none
We had another ever-so-slight drop in temperatures today, but if you spent a lot of time in the direct sunlight, it wouldn't have mattered. That's one great thing about our altitude and thin mountain air -- the sunshine can be very warm and soothing throughout the winter months, no matter what the thermometer says. There was a bit more cloud development over the mountains this afternoon than yesterday, but not enough to dim the sun.
A compact, fast-moving area of low pressure in the upper-atmosphere is scheduled to swing through northern India between tomorrow (Sun) night and Tuesday. There is a pitiful amount of moisture available for this system to work with, so rain chances will remain less than 20% or so -- just keep in mind the risk of a shower popping up early next week, especially if you have plans to be higher uphill. The main event will be a further drop in temperatures, which should take us down to near the normal range for early November. It should be NOTICEABLY cooler on Monday and Tuesday.
After this system passes, expect sunny to partly cloudy skies and quiet conditions to prevail. This is a really dull time of the year for weather enthusiasts!
